One of the most hyped sneaker releases finally dropped in the Philippines a week ago. The Nike Air Jordan 1 x Travis Scott x Fragment was released by TITAN 22 on their website on August 20. Sneakerheads from all over the Philippines were anticipating the official announcement from TITAN 22, the Basketball Concept Shop co-founded by Jeff Cariaso, Dennis Tan, and Raoul Reinoso. So when they suddenly dropped during the off hours of a Friday, everyone stopped what they’re doing to get a chance to buy a pair of Jordans. Mind you, though, these aren’t any old pair of Jordans.
The Nike Air Jordan 1 x Travis Scott x Fragment release is, as the name goes, a collaboration of three prominent figures in the sneaker game. You have the Air Jordan brand that started a movement during MJ’s reign in the 90s, Travis Scott’s current hold on streetwear, and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s innovative Fragment Designs. It’s definitely a contender as one of the biggest sneaker drops of the year, which is why acquiring a pair is seen as the ultimate win in the sneaker community. So, who made the cut?
