Growing up, many people probably dream of being a queen—wearing a crown and the most beautiful gowns, waving like royalty, and of course, being a role model to others. Well, that dream may just become reality, thanks to Catriona Gray and Kylie Verzosa.
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is teaming up with Nas Academy to launch ‘The Catriona Gray Academy.’ As Catriona Gray shares on an Instagram post, “This is my first, in-depth course teaching you the skills and tips I used to conquer the Universe and every other stage I’ve been on since!” The course will be be taught via Zoom, and will be working on topics such as ways to build your self-confidence, how to deal with anxiety and self-doubt, how to prepare for major presentations, and how to handle criticism and rejection with poise.
On the other hand, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa is launching a pageant series on her YouTube channel. Her first video on the series is entitled “How To: Walk Like A Beauty Queen,” where she shared tips on how you can perfect your runway walk. She even included Ian Mendajar, a runway coach for Aces and Queens, for her video. They talked about Kylie’s experiences during Binibining Pilipinas and Miss International. Ian Mendejar also shared that a candidate’s pasarela is not the most important part of being a beauty queen, but is still vital for a queen’s confidence.
