Visiting Florence Soon

Italian fashion brand Gucci recently announced that their new concept store in Florence—named Gucci Garden—will not only sell their coveted clothes and accessories, but serve pasta as well.

At the ground floor of the concept store, one can find Gucci Osteria, an intimate 50-seat restaurant headed by three-Michelin star chef Massimo Bottura of Osteria Francescana. The chef has created an entirely new menu for Gucci that is inspired by his travels, including a mix of iconic Italian dishes and contemporary ones such as Parmigiano Reggiano tortellini and pork belly buns.

“Traveling the world, our kitchen interacts with everything we see, hear and taste,” the chef says in a press release, adding, “The restaurant is a reminder that Florence has always been a center of cultural exchange, particularly during the Renaissance.”

Reflecting creative director Alessandro Michele’s aesthetic, Gucci Garden is designed to be lively and magical. Together with the restaurant, a bazaar-like retail space is also located on the ground floor, bringing visitors back to the old Florence which was a wonderful hub of activity. Guests will certainly be taken aback with the charm of the store, making their trip to Florence all the more memorable.

Thinking about visiting soon? A ticket to enter the store will cost you 8 euros, with half of each ticket price set to be donated to fund restoration projects in the city.
