It’s safe to say that BTS, Blackpink, and Twice have reached a point where their fame’s already stable, and because of that chances are, we will be seeing them active in their careers for a long time. However, the reality is they are not going to be idols forever or not all of them will stay in their respective groups as some will delve into different paths, which they are starting to do now. So, with this in mind, the companies which they belong namely, HYBE Labels, YG Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment never stop in training and preparing groups that they will pass the baton to. To introduce you to your favorite K-Pop groups’ “siblings”, meet the upc-oming girl groups from the same companies as BTS, Blackpink, and Twice.

HYBE

The news of upcoming girl group of HYBE has been circulating the internet for a long time now, and until now the concept and members of the groups has remained undisclosed. According to some reports, HYBE’s girl group will include some contestants from previous talent reality shows like Produce 48. Recently, Heo Yoonjin from the said show has moved from Pledis to Source Music which is a partner brand of HYBE, and she is expected to join Sakura and Kim Chae Won in the upcoming girl group and to make her debut under HYBE LABELS.

Mnet and HYBE also collaborated to find more talents as they officially announced the start of I-LAND 2, which will form ENHYPEN‘s sister group. Even though the girl group created will work alongside ENHYPEN under BELIFT LAB, this will also be another platform for HYBE to find girls that can also be part of their upcoming girl group.

I-LAND 2 is schedule to begin airing in 2022.

YG Entertainment

The most recent group YG had released is the boy group, Treasure, and since 2ne1, Blackpink’s the only known group from the entertainment. So, the anticipation for the girls who will follow 2ne1 and Blackpink’s footsteps are high. Along with HYBE and JYP, YG Entertainment’s new group was reported to launch around the end of 2021. The new group will be a burst of freshness and will give off a colorful vibe, ‘opposite to 2NE1 or Blackpink.’

After five years, since Blackpink’s debut in 2016, the Entertainment giant will be debuting a fourth-generation girl group, creating major competition for SM’s Aespa, JYP’s ITZY, HYBE’s new group and JYP’s new rookie girl act. One of the rumored members include, 20-year-old Seojin, dubbed as the most popular known YG Entertainment trainee of all, is expected to be a vocalist if she’s part of the new girl group lineup. Seojin once trained under SM Entertainment, and she also appeared on the fourth season of the popular singing reality show K-Pop Star.

JYP Entertainment

JYPn (tentative name) is the agency’s new girl group that is scheduled to debut in February 2022. Sullyoon is a newly revealed member of the group and joins a lineup that already includes Jinni, Jiwoo, and Kyujin. The group surpassed 60,000 pre-orders for their debut single album in just 10 days.
