The recent conclusion of Milan Fashion Week has left us in a fashion hype. With the comeback in-person fashion shows, all the fashion houses are bringing us new looks, and even some of their best collections yet. One of which is Tod’s Spring/Summer 2022 Ready-To-Wear collection.

With Walter Chiapponi at the helm, Tod’s is stepping up to be a brand that the younger generation of fashionistas go for. “I’m trying to dignify sportswear, to make it look chic,” Chiapponi shared. And with Tod’s runway show at Milan Fashion Week, he did just that.

The collection featured crochet tops, loose silhouettes, and knitwear. Mini dresses and skirts were also a highlight of the show—all of which were made in an A-line silhouette, inspired by the ‘60s. Of course, leather was also heavily prominent in numerous pieces. Oversized leather jackets, leather pockets, dresses, and bucket hats were featured within the collection. Tod’s take on sportswear came in the form of colourful nylon windbreakers, giving contemporary pieces a much sportier look.

Held at the Contemporary Art Pavilion in Milan, the show was opened by Gigi Hadid wearing a cream coat dress that featured a leather neckline and pockets. Setting the tone of the show, all models also strutted the runway in chunky soled sandals, boots, sneakers, and loafers. Iconic Tod’s pieces such as their leather bags were also featured during the show.
