Tod’s is on a roll as it recently unveiled a new capsule collection right after showcasing its S/S 2019 collection just three days ago. Kickstarting a new series of projects called the “Tod’s Factory,” the brand collaborates with the man behind the success of No. 21, Alessandro Dell’Acqua.

The Factory collaboration’s initiative is to release capsule collections once every two months, inviting talents from various creative fields like photography, film, and fashion design.

Being the first one to launch the T Factory collaborations, Dell’Acqua shared on an Instagram video that he chose to fuse cool metropolitan and authentic Italian craftsmanship. He believes that true innovation needs “creative freedom, whilst preserving memories of what has been and avoiding all kinds of nostalgia.”

Adding more sophisticated twist to the Italian luxury giant, Dell’Acqua incorporated Tod’s signature pebble soles that’s usually seen on the “Gommino” moccasins, and made low-heeled pumps, flats and ankle boots.

According to Dell’Acqua, in order to catch international appeal he “captured the Italian style in the contrasting leather and velvet, and [revisited] Tod’s moccasin in the game between masculine and feminine.”

Tod’s will release its first capsule collection for the T Factory in November.
