This Hidden Gem in Poblacion is Your New Favorite Hang-Out

From their unique cocktail combinations to Instagram-worthy ambiance, What’s Your Poison is the place to be.

Just before we were all thrusted into the world of quarantine, online meetings, and Zoom celebrations, Poblacion, Makati was one of the places to be. From good yet affordable restaurants to hip bars, people ran to Poblacion for the fun and buzzing nightlife. Now that things are (very) slowly getting better, you can go back to dining and drinking out with your friends. And we’ve found the perfect place for your next hang out: What’s Your Poison.

A hidden gem located in the smaller streets of Poblacion, WYP is a tropical inspired bar bringing you unique cocktails, libations, top-shelf malts, and gin, among others. You can opt for their signature cocktails that are curated and inspired by local life, flavors, and seasons. You can go for Filipino Summer, which is vodka infused with basil and chili, lime, and Cointreau; or The Formula, which is a combination of gin, basil, mint, and grapefruit. Feeling frisky? Opt for an alchemist’s masterpiece called Cruel Summer—a combination of gin, vodka, lemon, vanilla, strawberry, and egg white.

If you want the timeless favorites, WYP also offers a handpicked selection of wine which includes Pinot Grigio from Italy, French Grand Crus from Saint Emilion, Riesling from the US, and Rioja Reserva. There’s also something for the Whisky lovers with WYP offering a selection of Japanese malts and other top-shelf options. Classic cocktails like Aperol Spritz, Amaretto Sour, and Old Fashioned are also available.

Also offering a global menu of comfort food, dishes at WYP are a must-try. Why not order a plate of Billionaire’s Bacon which are slices of bacon with Palawan spiced honey to match your favorite cocktail? You can also go for Pok Pok Wings, WYP’s take on Vietnamese fish sauce and chilli glazed chicken wings; or Crispy Pata in Chard, a 12-hour sous vide seasoned pork leg, fried to crisp, served with soymansi and garlic rice. Healthier options are also available, such as Grilled Vegetable Cubana, or Vegetarian Sisig.

With nipa ceilings and coconut woodpile walls, murals, and neon signs with “What’s Your Poison?”, and “Some Kind of Paradise”, WYP brings you to a tropical getaway within their four walls.
