These Limited Edition Port Casks Are The Perfect Addition To Your Liquor Cabinet

It’s time to take your at-home cocktail experience to the next level with Don Papa Rum’s limited edition Port Casks.

With most of the country stuck in quarantine, our homes have become everything in one: classroom, office, restaurant, hang-out place, and even (often) bar. So what better way to finally upgrade our at-home drinking experience than adding Don Papa Rum’s limited edition Port Casks to your liquor cabinet?

As the first premium single island rum from the Philippines, Don Papa Rum brings its newest limited edition Port Casks to the market. Marking the 500th year of the world’s first voyage—one that led Spain to the Philippines—the brand’s newest liquor launch is a super-premium rum that perfectly combines spicy, fruity, and fresh vanilla that gives it a rich and unique taste.

Coming from the island of Negros (or Sugarlandia, the local name for Negros), the limited edition liquor was distilled on the fertile island. It was aged in the unique volcanic climate around the foothills of Mt. Kanlaon, giving the rum an additional layer of complexity. The full-bodied expression is then aged two years in ex-bourbon casks, before being transferred into rich, ruby-hued Port Casks for another 5 years.

The delicate process of making the premium beverage results in a dark, spicy liquor with a lingering fruitiness, that brings life to the limited edition Port Casks. It also features notes of liquorice, polished oak, dark chocolate, and muscovado sugar, followed by the zest of blood oranges, red berries, and a note of fresh vanilla—a unique treat with every sip.

Not only are these Port Casks a treat for your taste buds, but they’re beautiful additions to your at-home bar too. Each one features an intricately detailed design that reflects—among them—Magellan’s three-year odyssey; creatures found on Sugarlandia, and the challenges Papa Isio, the revolutionary hero who inspired the name Don Papa.
