Before we all hop on a 14-hour flight to California for the annual coming together of fashion, culture, and most importantly, music at Coachella, here’s a fair warning: Yes, weekend 1 is already sold out. Do not worry, because you can still score a ticket or two as the pre-sale registration of weekend 2 starts on Monday, January 6 at 12 PM, PT. As early as now, the annual music and arts festival is hyping up the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California on April 10-12 and 17-19, with the lineup of artists revealed on Twitter today. Needless to say, it looks like it’s going to be a major hit.
Well, of course, it is but natural for our expectations to be set high every year for Coachella, especially since it has seen only the most important names in the music business, from under-the-radar upstarts to stadium staples such as Ariana Grande and Beyoncé. Now that the 2020 complete lineup is finally before us, we can’t help but exhibit excitement to witness all of these performances whether live or through the live stream. Whatever the circumstance may be, we are going to sing out loud and cry our hearts out, that’s for sure. To name a few, the biggest artists revealed are Rage Against the Machine, Run the Jewels, Disclosure, Calvin Harris, Rex Orange County, Megan Thee Stallion, FKA Twigs, Travis Scott, Franck Ocean, Carly Rae Jepsen, Lana Del Rey, Daniel Caesar, Lil Uzi Vert, and a lot more.
After Coachella 2019 brought the first K-pop girl group, Blackpink, the hallyu wave continues this year as it welcomes another K-pop boy group, Bigbang, to perform on April 10 & 17. With this massive lineup, our music-inclined hearts and rhythm-set souls are definitely looking forward for more updates as Coachella draws closer.
