ICYMI, the BBC show Doctor Foster, which inspired the popular K-Drama The World of The Married, is getting a Filipino remake.
Brought to the local airwaves by Dreamscape Entertainment, the show follows the tumultuous life of a family medicine doctor who finds out that her husband has been cheating on her with a younger woman. Since hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, she starts to plan her revenge.

The Mega Star has been a fan fave to portray the show’s titular character, with the hashtag ‘SharonCuneta DrFosterPH’ even trending after a teaser image was posted.
Sharon went on to thank her supporters for the hashtag on Instagram, confirming that she would “absolutely love” to nab the coveted role.
“OMG! Thank you so much! Would absolutely love to play her!!!”
Judy Ann Santos
Another trending fan favorite is the veteran actress herself, Judy Anne Santos! A day after the Mega Star climbed the Twitter trends, the hashtag #JudayForDrFoster followed shortly after.
She hasn’t commented on the rumors just yet, but with Judy Anne being known as the “Queen of Philippine Soap Opera”, we just know that she won’t disappoint.
Jodi Sta. Maria
Though she hasn’t hit the Trending list, reports have name dropped Jodi Sta. Maria as one of the leading choices to portray Doctor Foster herself.
If true, it wouldn’t be a surprise considering that Jodi has had her fair share of projects amid this pandemic. She’s recently starred in the 2020 primetime teleserye Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin.

The Metro Manila Film Festival’s breakout star has been a popular name when it comes to portraying the surprisingly poignant role of the show’s mistress. With the 2020 MMFF Best Actress award under her belt for the film Fangirl with Paulo Avelino, it wouldn’t be a shock to see this actress thrive.
However, she’s shared that she has no updates just yet on the role.
“Actually, wala pa talaga sa akin nasasabi na ganon,” Charlie said during a virtual conference.
“Nagugulat na lang din ako sa mga balitang lumalabas. Pero wala pa talaga… “Napanood ko po talaga yung Korean version noon. But sa ngayon po talaga wala pang sinasabi talaga sa akin na ganon.”

As early as September of 2020, Julia has already expressed interest in playing the show’s mistress role.
“A World of the Married Couple If you guys have seen that. It’s one of the best in the world. I want to do something like that,” Barretto had shared during an online interview.
