A new season means a new batch of drops to look forward to. Find out the top 5 sneaker collaborations we’re keeping an eye out for.
Things are looking up for the second half of 2021. More and more citizens are getting vaccinated, registered voters have increased, and things are starting to get back to normal. Due to the ongoing shift, many sneakerheads are getting back on the grind. On top of this, sneaker companies have been working double time to deliver the demand of the new breed of costumers. As a result, 2021 has become the year of sneaker collaborations. In the first half alone, we were able to see multiple collaborations from adidas, Nike, Reebok, New Balance, ASICS, Converse, FILA, and Vans with different brands and designers. Now, as we enter the second half of the year we’re faced with a bunch of new collaborations and drops from beloved brands. Here are the top 5 coolest sneaker collaborations that we can’t wait to get our hands on.
LEGO® x adidas Originals Superstar
Probably, the coolest edition to the LEGO® x adidas partnership. The two reputable companies have reimagined the Superstar in a way you could never imagine. Instead of the usual leather upper, LEGO® has exchanged it with buildable bricks. Aside from this, the brands retained the iconic shell-toe and the laces. Unfortunately, this sneaker is not wearable and is deemed as a collector’s item. Despite this, we still think it’s a pretty cool piece of art to own.
Maison Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Tabi In Tan
Maison Margiela and Reebok have had a beautiful collaborative relationship. So, when the pair took a brief break, everyone was kept on their toes. To everyone’s surprise, the two brands came out with multiple renditions of the Tabi in Reebok silhouettes. Our favorite has to be the Classic Leather Tabi in Tan, but you can also check out the highs if they’re more your speed.
Jeremy Scott x adidas Forum Hi
American designer, Jeremy Scott, has created many exciting pieces for adidas that have sky rocketed the brand’s sales to new levels. That’s why when the brand announced the renewal of Scott’s partnership we saw the opportunity as expected. Their first drop for their renewed partnership consists of four tonal colorways of the adidas Forum Hi.
Billie Eilish x Air Jordan 15 SP
It’s been a big year for Billie Eilish. The young singer has been sporting a new look, releasing new music, filming music videos, and collaboration with the Jordan Brand. The two have been working together for a considerable amount of time and have collaborated in pieces that any sneakerhead will go crazy for. The most recent drop is the Billie Eilish Air Jordan 15 SP, which is a more wearable take as compared to the vivid green Jordans they put out.
Jaden Smith x New Balance Vision Racer
Gray sneakers are all the rage. We’ve seen many celebrities sport the gray New Balance 990. As an ambassador and collaborator of New Balance, Jaden Smith decided to create his own signature gray NBs using the Vision Racer. The said sneaker is the brain child of Smith from its vast array of colorways and its silhouette.
