Quirky 90s fashion, dance-offs, and today’s fresh and young content creators got together and started their week right with a party hosted by MEGAStyle. “The Get Down” was held last night at the Yes Please dinner and dive bar and it celebrated the resurgence of the decade known for being the peak of pop culture.

Guests of the night channeled the sartorial stylings of iconic 90s shows like Clueless, Friends, and every fashion girl’s favorite series, Sex and the City. The likes of Angela Mooney wore a matching plaid crop top and mini skirt set that’s ala Cher and Barbie while Killa Kush’s red latex dress and boots was reminiscent of Britney Spears’s “Oops!…I Did It Again” outfit.

There were also plenty of classic all-denim fits that went around which Miss Nate and Kim Cruz fully embraced, even host of the night MEGA Digital Writer Mika Reyes, wore a reworked version of her classic Levi’s staples. But if you’re more into the grungier aesthetic of the era, take a note from Lesha Liton and Angelina Cruz who donned on all-black leather outfits.

A major hit at the party was also the claw machines by Y.O.U Beauty. Guests were able to score all their best-selling skincare and makeup while reminiscing the days they spent at the arcade.

While the Watson’s club photo booth recreated the ultimate 90’s bedroom we all wished for when we were younger. It was complete with a funky mirror, first-generation Gameboys, and skincare products like St.Ives, Pond’s, and Nivea that saved us from teenage acne and keep us glowing until now.

It also wouldn’t be the ultimate throwback bash without the right music to accompany it. DJ ManilaJunkie and HOEST had tracks that were a mix of TLC, Spice Girls, and Christina Aguilera. This prompted everyone with a Heineken bottle in hand to dance and drop rap verses as the greatest hits played. Every memorable moment was covered by realme, the digital lifestyle brand, who was also the co-presenter of the night.

From beginning to end, “The Get Down” by MEGAStyle was a 90s nostalgic fantasy that came to life for one night only.
