With elements of comedy adding more flavor to this murder-mystery, Ten Little Mistresses will surely be a new film favorite

Comedy has always appealed to the Filipino audience. No MMFF lineup will be complete without at least one entry of this genre, and for a time, this type of film dominated the blockbuster list. Be it a respite for the everyday hustle or just our natural inclination to all things positive, humor is something that Filipinos know best. And in February, Ten Little Mistresses is going to give us a new taste of comedy that we will surely enjoy.

The movie, with its Tagalog title Sampung Mga Kerida, is the story of 10 mistresses who are all vying to be the billionaire’s new legal wife. However, rich man Valentin Esposo, played by John Arcila, ends up dead. The mistresses must now prove their innocence, solve the crime, and find the culprit behind it.

In the teaser, the characters and their looks are looking all campy, another style that Filipinos absolutely adore and appreciate in every genre of media that we are consuming. Loud embellished gowns and big headdresses are worn by the different so-called mistresses in the video.

Making this movie more exciting is the roster of actors starring it. Eugene Domingo, Christian Bables, Pokwang, Arci Muñoz, Carmi Martin, and Agot Isidro join Arcilla in top-billing Ten Little Mistresses. Meanwhile, Kris Bernal, Sharlene San Pedro, Adrianna So, Kate Alejandrino, Iana Bernardez, and Donna Cariago are also part of the cast.

Directed by Jun Robles-Lana, Ten Little Mistresses is the first Filipino Amazon Original Movie showing worldwide in more than 240 countries and territories this coming February 15, 2023 on Amazon Prime.
