“I just want them to look like normal guys that you see around, not models,” says Bang Pineda. As the opener for this year’s MEGA Fashion Week, the designer and stylist can’t hide his excitement.
Known for constantly reinventing his streetwear creations, this year’s show is refreshing, giving us new ideas to wear items we initially saw in one way. Naturally, his out-of-the-box thinking translates to his beauty inspiration as well.
To add even more edginess to his already edgy creation, Bang thought of highlighting the eyes. “Yes, I wanted them to look like normal boys, but to give them some spunk, I wanted dark eye shadow, and liner,” the designer says. A closer look at the models would show us what exactly he was talking about. With dark eyeshadow, underliner, and a natural flush, the makeup creations by BYS Cosmetics went perfectly in line with the collection.
On the other hand, the models’ hair was interesting as well. They were styled with their hair slicked back, with a few models wearing caps with Bang’s signature logo.
The designer certainly set the mood for MEGA Fashion Week; we can’t wait to see what else is in store.
