Embodying confidence beyond her years, Sofia Andres shows how beauty shouldn’t be a guilty pleasure for moms.

When Sofia Andres first appeared on our radar, she was a teenaged model who was also making her mark as part of the new generation of teleserye leads. Beyond her pretty face, Andres has the charisma and talent to hold her own even when acting opposite the biggest names in the industry. Early last year, after taking a year off from the spotlight, she announced the new role she was taking on—as a mom to Zoe Natalia, her daughter with boyfriend and race car driver Daniel Miranda.
Today, her Instagram is littered with photos of her wearing matching outfits with Zoe and videos of them playing around her vanity. “Our bonding moments include having her around me when I’m doing my makeup,” she gushes, sharing that her daughter is quickly becoming her “mini-me.” “She would grab a brush and imitate me as if she’s also applying makeup on her face. When she grows up, the main beauty advice that I would give her is to never sacrifice skincare and to also believe that less is more,” she says.
Andres says her dramatic transformation (from teen star and girl-next-door to a glowing young mom and astute businesswoman) was not always easy, but she was able to do it because she never took her self-care for granted. “I admit it’s not a walk in the park having to juggle motherhood, being an actress and running a business. It really requires time and dedication. But I guess, it’s time management that helps me get through these busy days,” she says.
“Mom guilt” is prevalent, especially to first-time mothers, but the 23-year-old proves that it’s normal, perhaps even health, to indulge in the latest Dior bag or to swipe on Tom Ford lip gloss before heading out. She explains, “I make time for mani-pedi sessions and my Aivee [Clinic] Day because it is through these pamper days that I also get to look out for my well- being and provide that same care for my loved ones.”

It’s a philosophy she has always followed. And while many twenty-somethings are still figuring out adulthood, Sofia Andres has grown into a woman who possesses a unique brand of confidence and self assurance. Perhaps it’s proof that loving and taking care of one’s self is also a way to love others.

HOW DOES YOUR FASHION STYLE INFLUENCE YOUR BEAUTY STYLE?
My beauty style is as important as choosing or picking the clothes I would wear. It goes hand in hand and it always has to look coordinated.
WHAT ARE YOUR GO-TO LUXURY MAKEUP AND SKINCARE PRODUCTS THAT ARE WORTH THE SPLURGE?
My go-to luxury makeup products are Dior’s Rouge Blush in 277, Dior’s 5 Couleurs Couture eyeshadow palette in 699 soft cashmere, and the Tom Ford Gloss Luxe. While for my skincare, I use Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum.
HAS YOUR MAKEUP AND SKINCARE ROUTINE CHANGED SINCE BECOMING A MOM?
Ever since I became a mom to my Zoe, my skincare and makeup routine has simplified. I wash my face to clean it, then I apply serum or moisturizer and that’s it! Less is more.
YOU’VE RECENTLY OPENED UP A LINE CALLED “ZOE ESSENTIALS” OF SCENTED ALCOHOL SPRAYS AND BODY WASH. HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THIS IDEA?
I am very fond of fragrances, that’s why I thought of coming up with scented alcohol sprays inspired by my favorite signature perfumes. A few months after, we added a body wash, which is hypoallergenic and safe for all ages! I am so glad that we were able to come up with something I will use and enjoy too. Not to mention the overwhelming feedback from people saying that they love the product from its scent down to how it feels soft on their skin.
AS A YOUNG MOM, WHAT ARE THE STEPS YOU TOOK TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND FEEL BEAUTIFUL DURING PREGNANCY UNTIL TODAY?
Of course, it’s always about living a healthy lifestyle. I eat nutritious food, I exercise and do workouts, and I make time for things I’m passionate about, like painting. But most importantly,
I surround myself with the people I love and value most—my family!
CAN YOU TELL US THE SECRET TO YOUR SIGNATURE GOLDEN SKIN AND NATURALLY BUSHY BROWS?
I have this “me-time” which includes my radiance routine. I use the most prescribed skincare brand by dermatologists like Cetaphil’s Bright Healthy Radiance line. For my brows, I only use brow gel.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT THE CURRENT BEAUTY INDUSTRY?
I love that the beauty industry keeps innovating. Brands have been very keen on improving their products by incorporating natural ingredients that are safer on the skin. Not only that, but beauty industries have come a long way in terms of developing technologies that help us feel good and confident about ourselves.
