The American clothing brand shows us that they wear the pants in the denim world

The world is seeing a lot of revivals in recent years. From big hair claw clips to crewneck sweater vests to baggy overalls and low waist jeans—all the styles you once loved are back in full swing and are cool again. It was also the perfect time for American clothing brand, Levi’s, to put the 90s revival at the center of this major throwback.

Since the birth of the blue jean, Levi Strauss & Co. has been continuously making strides as the go-to garb for everyday style. This year, the denim heads reached into their archives to bring out the well-loved classic from previous decades, the 551Z Authentic Straight Jeans and Baggy Dad Jeans. These timeless pieces are reintroduced with relaxed fits for a raw and versatile street style through Levi’s campaign, Denim Style.

To launch these two classic jeans remake, Levi’s invited six fashion-savvy influencers for a styling session at the opening of the clothing brand’s newest branch in SM Mall of Asia’s South Wing. Together with MEGAStyle’s resident stylist, Mika Reyes, we were treated to a denim feast where style meets posi-vibes and vintage meets a new generation of trendsetters.

The styling session saw international model Craig Uy, actor and producer Benedict Cua, style TikTokers Nicole Go and Denise Annthea Chua, style blogger Bea Marin, and photographer Andrea Beldua decked out in streetwear ensembles prepared by stylist Mika Reyes. Each style showed the denim authority’s style range from mixing and matching casual styles to the grunge statement of the 90s.

Denim Style showcases looser fits that are truly on-trend in the world of streetwear. The 551TM Z Authentic Straight Jeans were launched in 1962 as the first-ever relaxed fit from the Levi’s line. Baggy Dad Jeans are designed to hang comfortably around your waist with great leg room you can pair with different fashion accessories in many ways.

If there’s one thing that Levi’s knows, it is that jeans will never go out of style. Since its debut, the jean pioneer has always been the authority on all things denim. Fast forward to a new era where personal style is king, the jeans company knows they’re still a dominating force on everything that looks good with denim.
