A spring awakening in October graced the runway in Rajo Laurel’s Spring/Summer collection entitled When I Was Five. Day 2: John Herrera

Born into the world of fashion with MEGA, John Herrera takes the world by storm with his trademark move of using printed materials to embody his creative vision in the world of fashion. Entitled Armada, the talented designer made use of a world map print that first featured the Philippines as the Las Islas Filipinas. The collection had statement silhouettes from powerful tailored blazers, exaggerated corsets, and dresses in optic prints.

Day 3: Puey Quinones

One of the most anticipated shows throughout the whole MEGA Fashion Week is that of Puey Quiñones. Being away from the Philippines for 5 years has given him a chance to widen his understanding of fashion while in the streets of Los Angeles. There he mastered his bridalwear aesthetic and fused bohemian inspirations. Many pieces from his collection during the third day of the fashion week showed this monastic-meets-magnificent vision.

Day 4: Francis Libiran

The ever-talented Francis Libiran showed a different side to himself in his collection of soft pastel hues and bright jewel tones. Known for making red carpet-ready gowns in monochrome, the designer shocked audiences with his loose yet form-fitting collection that made use of digital print, embroidery, cutouts, and use of panels. The 40-piece collection delighted women from different backgrounds especially Kisses Delavin the newest Vivo ambassador who walked the runway wearing Francis’ creation. It is without a doubt that Francis Libiran makes us wish for spring and summer to come faster!

Day 5: Mark Bumgarner

Wearability and luxury sparkled in Mark Bumgarner’s Spring/Summer collection for the MEGA Fashion Week. Taking cues and inspiration from his travels in Europe, Mark fell in love with lavish textiles and saw his newest couture line with these elements. His collection still maintained Mark’s trademark of big ball gowns but designed towards more wearable shapes such as separates of asymmetrical tops, jacquard cigarette pants, and billowing off-shoulder sleeves.
