Meet the newest member of the royal family: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
After much anticipation, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first child was proudly welcomed by the royal family. The news that the Duchess of Sussex had given birth was announced through an official proclamation at Buckingham Palace and via social media.
In the official Instagram of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the caption read, “We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019.”
Two days following the announcement, images of the family making their debut appearance were then shared on social media. The caption read: “Today the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to share their first public moment as a family. They are so incredibly grateful for the warm wishes and support they’ve received from everyone around the world.”
As Prince Harry and Meghan pose for the official photographs with their newborn son, the royal couple gleamed in happiness and triumph. For their first appearance as a royal family, The Duke wore a classic gray suit partnered with navy blue necktie.
On the other hand, The Duchess looked effortlessly regal in a stunning cream-colored sleeveless trench dress by Grace Wales Bonner. She partnered it with nude pointed stilettos and kept her hair down, foregoing her trademark loose chignon.
During a brief media interview, according to British Vogue, Meghan said, “It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing, and I have the two best guys in the world, so I’m really happy.”
