With the number of shows streaming left and right, it can be a comforting change to see some Filipino representation when we’re watching our favorite series. Though the country has released numerous notable shows, it can be a welcome change to see our fellow Filipinos taking the spotlight on the international stage too!

First on our list is the social media starlet herself: AC Bonifacio!
AC was recently seen hanging out with the Vixens on the popular CW show Riverdale, as she even had an awesome dance-off with Madelaine Petsch AKA Cherry Blossom. Are we set to see more AC in Riverdale? Only time will tell.
Gloria Diaz – Insatiable (Netflix)
Even in the fictional world of beauty pageants and catty contestants, there’s only one Gloria Diaz.
The 1969 Miss Universe appeared on two episodes of the Netflix show’s second season, as she portrayed a pageant coach aptly named Gloria Reyes. Coincidence? We think not!
Lea Salonga – Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (The CW)
The Pride of the Philippines has portrayed many roles in her career, but we see a different side of Lea Salonga in the Season 1 finale of the CW show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
Lea briefly joins the cast as Aunt Myrna, a proud tita character who even treats her wedding guests to a beautiful rendition of “One Indescribable Feeling.”
Lauren Young, Ejay Falcon – Where Stars Land (SBS TV)
Lauren Young and Ejay Falcon joined a particularly dramatic episode of the 2018 airport K-drama as a couple who can’t see each other even when while Lauren’s Mari is set to go into labor.
The pair even say a few lines of Tagalog with their undeniable acting prowess!
