On August 8, 2021, BJ Pascual premiered his anniversary episode for Musings– a YouTube series featuring all of his muses, which coincidentally are also high profile celebrities. In the anniversary episode, he had Pia Wurtzbach as his muse of choice. They were joined by industry veterans, Vince Uy and Pam Quinones, who played the role of Creative Director and Stylist for the photoshoot, respectively. Apart from the two, Mickey See and Renz Pangilinan were present in the photoshoot as Pia Wurtzbach’s official glam team.

All of the contributors collaborated with BJ on four layouts that were titled by Vince as: Soft Structure, Femme Fetish, Bardot, and Verushka Meets 90s Minimalism. These four layouts were cohesively executed in under 7 looks. Although it was a Musings anniversary shoot, the output was released in two separate videos. The second half of Musings aired on Pia Wurtzbach’s personal YouTube channel only yesterday. After watching both of the videos, we’ve finally decided which are our favorite looks per layout.

Soft Structure
Pia Wurtzback tunes into her masculine side while donning an oversized gray cashmere single breasted suit with matching slacks. Hair stylist, Renz Pangilinan, opted to go short and shaggy with Pia’s hair. The look completely transformed the former Miss Universe while retaining a sexy look to it by keeping the suit unbuttoned and lowering the pants.

Femme Fetish
Vince Uy explained that this layout would be an ode to the hyper sexualization of the 1950s. On the other side of the Stepford wife stereotype, were sex icons who wore lingerie and latex on highly publicized adverts. This concept was executed tastefully and beautifully when Pia wore an all black ensemble that gave pin-up girls a run for their money.

Bardot
French actress and style icon, Brigitte Bardot, was the inspiration for the third layout. They wanted to reimagine the star’s carefree and daring image on Pia. Our favorite look for this layout would have to be Pia in a lace bralette top, white translucent stockings, and mussed up blonde hair. The look had bits of Bardot, but stayed effortlessly true to Pia.

Verushka Meets 90s Minimalism
For the last layout, the whole team decided to take it to the extremes by bringing in a live snake by Reptilab Exotics. This layout took an opposite turn from Bardot, because it channeled Pia’s sleek and commanding features. Instead of putting her in lingerie, Pam Quinones decided to dress her up in 90s inspired silhouettes. We loved Pia in a monochromatic red look wearing a ribbed unitard by Andrea Bogosan and leather thigh high boots from Le Silla.

Feel free to watch the anniversary episode of Musings on BJ Pascual’s YouTube Channel titled, “Pia Wurtzbach, Bombshell Babe.”

Right after, you can watch Part 2 on Pia’s channel titled, “Pythons, Pixie Cuts, and me, Pia.”
