After a night of glamour and good cause, we were served with the top ten best dressed women at the ABS-CBN Ball 2019 and we just can’t take our eyes off of these stunners. As these stars took the red carpet by elegance, it’s obvious how their glam teams created the best look on them.

From sneak peaks to post-ball highlights, celebrity stylists definitely played, thereby having fun and wowing us with a very extra features of the celebrities’ modern Filipiniana look. These fashion stylists took over their look once again to turn them into what we never thought a modern Filipina could be.

The styling team behind ABS-CBN Ball’s Best Dressed, Bea Alonzo, Qurator Studio showed us how Bea enjoys her cup of wine while getting prepared for the ball, while Pia Wurtzbach proved us a how a queen slays the pre-ball game with her six interpretation of modern Filipiniana couture.

Emphasizing modern Filipiniana couture and a distinct beauty look, Perry Tabora highlighted the intricate details of each style in an antique-style photograph, clearly referencing Philippine History. “The set-up is meant to be reminiscent of the Spanish-era mansions in the Philippines,” shares Perry Tabora.

Joanna Garcia incorporated matching elements for Nadine Lustre and Yassi Pressman’s video highlight. “Nadine represents one of the colors of our Philippine flag—an ode to our home, our country,” shares Joanna Garcia. Yassi’s video features waves matched her pearl clutch bag, which made her overall look more Filipina.

Being extravagant as ever, Stylized Studio showed how Vice Ganda’s two looks for the ball went from the hotel room to the red carpet. Stylized also dropped a sweet video of Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez doing slow dance and what seemed to be their favorite past time—a movie date.

Personality driven was Cathleen Sobrevega’s take on styling celebrities Julia Barretto, Alex Gonzaga, Denise Laurel, and Maja Salvador. While Maja Salvador channeled a Camila vibe, Cathleen Sobrevega knew how Alex Gonzaga would be playful as usual.

With a touch of nature as the backdrop for celebrities like Ylona Garcia and Angelica Panganiban, Myrrh Lao To gave a demure and feminine look on these modern Filipina. “We took inspiration from the golden sun on our Philippine flag with the texture of Sarimanok,” shares Myrrh Lao To on Ylona’s look. In still poses reminiscent of an otherworldly yet definitively beautiful photograph, each celebrity looked every inch a Filipina heroine.

Playing with sepia tones and deep shadows, the vintage-themed videos of Team RainxEm couldn’t be more perfect to parallel this year’s theme of ABS-CBN Ball. Speaking of extra, Team RainxEm described even went the extra mile and matched each vignette with a short Tagalog poem penned by our Digital Content Editor, Angelo Ramirez de Cartagena.
