The latest fashion presentations included not only newly designed constructed garments, but also a variety of gimmicks meant to increase the popularity of their collection. During Paris Fashion Week, a model literally turned up the room’s temperature by walking the runway on fire

From Bella Hadid’s spray-on outfit at the Coperni show to a mountain of 200,000 condom boxes seen at the Diesel runway, recent fashion shows have incorporated a variety of gimmicks to make their presentation more memorable. And Paris Fashion Week was no exception. This week, the industry saw some of the most bizarre creations and presentations, including a model covered in flames as he walked the runway for this fashion brand.

For the Autumn/Winter 23 show by HELIOT EMIL, a model wearing a parka suit was literally engulfed in flames as he walked down the runway. Several fans even drew parallels to Katniss Everdeen’s flaming outfit from The Hunger Games. The runway display for the brand’s latest collection definitely demonstrated the range and versatility of his creations.

The look was part of HELIOT EMIL’s Connected Forms collection. It consisted of a hooded jacket and flared pants that gave off a baggy but bold vibe because of its metal-capped drawstrings, zippers, and oversized construction. The model also carried a bag that resembled a toolbox. Despite its apparent simplicity at first glance, this black fire-resistant techwear had a hot presentation on the runway.

Although it may seem strange, we have actually witnessed a similar fire stunt before. In 2019, Indian-Canadian actor Akshay Kumar also lit himself on fire at a press event for his upcoming web show.

HELIOT EMIL was founded by the Juul brothers, Victor and Julius, and it has been recognized for its unique and innovative approaches to fashion ever since it was established in 2016. They honored their great-grandfather with the naming of the brand. They are also well-known for producing monochrome apparel, which draws its inspiration from the culture of Scandinavia.
