It was just a few months ago when the 24-year-old model graced our MEGA’s cover clad in head-to-toe Gucci as fashion’s new darling. When her surrealist photos took over the newsstands, nothing but adoration came fashionphiles and famous blogs over the memorable surrealist images. It was no wonder that the MEGA Fashion Awards, co-presented by RLC Residences, could only give its Model of the Year award to Hannah Locsin.

Having walked the runway for Miu Miu, Paul & Joe, Ralph & Russo, she also appeared for Maybelline’s beauty campaign and the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Kazakhstan. But of course, landing her the spotlight is when she became the first Filipino model to walk the Gucci runway.

A true fashion chameleon, who knew that sporting an apple bowl cut could garner the attention of the Italian luxury brand? Well, that was what Locsin did. Perfectly fitting the 70’s theme of Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2021 show, she appeared in a lime green midi dress with classic bug-eye sunglasses that captured the essence of Alessandro Michele’s eccentric take on the brand.

From Malaysia to Paris and now living in the big apple, there was one thing that she never forgot to do as she trotted around the globe–raise the Philippine flag. Proud of her cultural identity she loves talking to the people she works with about her home country and puts in the effort to work with Filipino talent.

During her cover shoot interview, she reveals that her dream is to appear in Vogue and to walk for Paris Fashion week. And as young and determined as she is, we have no doubt that she’ll be accomplishing all of this soon with her eyes set on grander dreams.
