It’s common Filipino practice to compare someone you just met to a celebrity, influencer, or in this case a former beauty queen. We see it happen all the time. In family reunions, your aunt could go up to you and say, “Iha! Has anyone told you that you look like Margie Moran?” To which you reply, “No, tita. Thank you, though.” We’ve all done it in some way, but that doesn’t mean it’s at all bad. Whoever is comparing you to someone famous is just trying to tell you, you’re good looking. And, that’s actually a good thing. Whether it’s a far off comparison or a genuine match, it’s always nice to hear you have similar features to beauty queens.
