Hollywood’s most famous and talented gather in their best looks for the 93rd Academy Awards.

The 93rd Academy Awards was one of the first ever in-person ceremony after almost a year, due to the pandemic. Better known as the Oscars, the name of the statuette given out, the entertainment industry’s most sought-after talents gathered at Union Station in Los Angeles to celebrate this year’s wins.

The event was a breath of fresh air after a year of virtual ceremonies and celebrations. And, after more than a year in loungewear, the Oscars 2021 reminded us what real glamour is: bright colors, decadent jewelry, sexy silhouettes and voluminous gowns.

The red carpet may have been smaller, but the looks of the stars were bigger than ever. Here is MEGA’s top 10 best dressed picks at the Oscars 2021:

10. Laverne Cox

Starting off our list, actress Laverne Cox looks every bit of stunning in her custom bright pink Christian Siriano gown. Reportedly made from 1,000 yards of Tulle, Cox truly dressed to impress. She may not have walked the red carpet, but she did serve up an amazing look.

9. Andra Day

Nominated for Best Actress, Andra Day stunned in custom Vera Wang. Styled by Wouri Vice, Day’s look was inspired by how she sees herself : “powerful, beautiful, and sensual,” according to Vogue.

8. Angela Bassett

Actress Angela Bassett makes her grand entrance in a custom red Alberta Ferretti gown. The off-the-shoulder dress had a long train and high slit, making the look one of the best at the ceremony.

7. Maria Bakalova

Looking like a real princess, actress Maria Bakalova stuns in a Louis Vuitton white gown with hand sewn jewels. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.

6. Vanessa Kirby

Best Actress nominee Vanessa Kirby wore a custom Gucci silk gown. Kirby, nominated for her work in Pieces Of A Woman looked amazing in this petal pink, form-fitting dress and long train.

5. Carey Mulligan

Another nominee for Best Actress, Carey Mulligan looks phenomenal in Valentino Haute Couture. The Promising Young Woman took glamour to another level in this unforgettable gold creation.

4. Regina King

Director of Oscar nominated film One Night In Miami wowed in her custom blue Louis Vuitton gown. With a deep v-neckline and encrusted with crystals, the gown says “winner” in all categories.

3. Laura Dern

Academy Award winning actress Laura Dern attended the 93rd Academy Awards in Oscar de la Renta. Dern opted for a feathered black and white gown that more than its share of second looks.

2. Zendaya

Taking our breath away, Zendaya arrived in a custom Valentino dress. The bright yellow cut out frock was paired with Bvlgari diamonds, reportedly worth over $6 Million.

1. Amanda Seyfried

First time Oscar nominee Amanda Seyfried looks elegant in her custom red Giorgio Armani gown. Giving off old Hollywood vibes, Seyfried looked timeless with her classic hair, makeup and award-worthy ensemble.

Bonus: Tiara Thomas

Nominated for Best Song, Tiara Thomas wore a pantsuit by Jovana Louis. Finishing off her look with a feathered jacket and a diamond necklace, the look was unexpected, but a fashion statement nonetheless.
