On July 11, 2021, Binibing Pilipinas held their coronation night at the Araneta Coliseum for the whole country to see. During the pageant, we were able to witness the grace and wit of 34 beauty queens from all over the Philippines. They danced the night away to the new Binibining Pilipinas theme song, walked the runway in the evening gown segment, and gave insightful answers during the Q&A portion. Aside from the usual pageant festivities that we love, there was also a special twist during the grand coronation night. For their 57th year in the industry, the most prestigious pageant in the Philippines partnered up with Silka. Together the two have created a new title, Miss Alagang Silka. “We at Silka are very proud to work with them in this year’s pageant as we aim to once again crown Filipina women that will represent the best of our country internationally,” says Jane Co, VP for Marketing of Cosmetique Asia Corporation.

On the night of the coronation, Binbining Pilipinas and Silka found the beauty queen who embodied both qualities. They awarded the title to Francesca Taruc of Angelec City, Pampanga. More than showcasing grace and intelligence, Francesca also showed her commitment to creating positive change in society—making her truly a queen.
