“You wanna know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing…” was the captivating line featured in the 1980s Calvin Klein campaign starring Brooke Shields. It featured the once emerging actress of the 80s in retro tight jeans and an undone button down shirt. She was crouched down in a suggestive pose with her signature stare.

Since then, Calvin Klein has been known for their breathtakingly simple yet sexy advertising campaigns. Following Shields’ campagin, Mark Wahlberg, Kate Moss, and Christie Turlington continued the Calvin Klein brigade in the 90s. After which, the 2000s brought in the va va voom for Calvin Klein with celebrities such as Eva Mendes, Lottie Moss, Zoë Saldana, Bella Hadid, Justin Bieber, and Kendall Jenner leading the campaign trail. Now, we’re seeing K-Pop stars, designers, musicians, and more continuing the Calvin Klein legacy.

With all the hype surrounding the old and new Calvin, there’s no wonder why Maris Racal would want to create her own Calvin Klein ad for her 25th birthday. The young actress teamed up with celebrity photographer, BJ Pascual, to reimagine the Calvin Klein campaign with Maris Racal as the subject. In return, they were able to produce a number of effortlessly sultry photos of Maris in her Calvins.

The photos may not be in the same greyscale finish as the Richard Avedon photos of the 80s, but they do bind together elements of Calvin Klein ads of the past and present. Nevertheless, they bring the same high quality finish of the famous ads. On top of this, we’re able to see the evolution of Maris as a personality who is able to take care of herself, her body, and her career in the best way possible at the age of 25.
