It’s no secret that Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid does her own makeup—and perfectly, at that. Back when the singer was starting out, the luxury of professional makeup artists was literally a far-flung idea as most beauty salons (freelance makeup artists weren’t du jour then) were located hours from her then provincial home. She would instead learn—and eventually love—to put on makeup on her own.
Fast forward to now, Regine is the newest face of BYS and cover girl of MEGA January issue. Flaunting her timeless beauty with makeup expertly done by herself, of course, Regine keeps on shining through.
But we couldn’t help but wonder how exactly Asia’s Songbird puts on her makeup. So in between takes, we watched Regine flawlessly glam up. While she changed her makeup looks, we couldn’t resist asking her to sing a song—or four!
