The go-to nail and pampering destination celebrates self-care and mental health in the most relaxing way

In recent years, self-care has been a familiar concept that has become an important part of the conversation in our generation. It’s not just a buzzword. At its core, it means making sure you’re living in a way that makes you feel happy and healthy. It can be as simple as taking a walk or as involved as getting a massage and getting your nails done.

Now in their seventh year, Nailaholics continue to celebrate National Pampering Day following themes and environmental advocacies to show that they’re more than just your go-to nail salon. Known for their fun and playful nail art and spa services, the premiere salon is also committed to giving back. Last October, they celebrated it with a focus on mental health issues in order to help people who suffer from depression or anxiety feel more confident about themselves.

More than just the country’s premiere nail salon, Nailaholics is also about giving back to the community through National Pampering Day

“After [almost] three years of uncertainty and fear, we are finally gaining back a sense of normalcy and more courage to go on with our usual lives, or should we say, the new normal,” says Abby Borja, Head of Marketing for R2 Group of Exclusive Brands. The pioneering nail salon chose HopelinePH by the Natasha Goulbourn Foundation as their beneficiary for this annual event. HopelinePH provides free 24/7 suicide prevention and crisis intervention hotlines. As well as webinars and mental health courses that equip the Philippines’ education system on how to deal with a mental health crisis.

In its seventh year, Nailaholics’ theme this year is self-care and mental health and chose HopelinePH as their beneficiary

For the ultimate pampering session, the Nailaholics team invited its regular patrons and new clients to participate in the event and were encouraged to donate at least PHP 100 to HopelinePH. In turn, the participants were treated to a Hope Manicure session which features a green polish collection to represent the green ribbon symbolizing the salon’s support for mental health awareness.

“Like we always say here at Nailaholics, self-care is not selfish. It is never selfish to take care of yourself and to make your happiness a priority. It is necessary and it is your responsibility to make the world a better place by making yourself better,” adds Borja.
