Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2021 collection offers 80’s inspired athleisure that is equally quirky, fun, and stylish. See here the bold silhouette pairings and new up-to-date pochettes that's still monogram-clad, of course.
Artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière puts practicality as the top priority for Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2021 collection with actress Stacy Martin as the muse. Injecting color and fun back into our current lives, Ghesquire takes advantage of the Louis Vuitton favorites: streetwear style, logo apparel and bags, and quirky accessories.
The result? A line of luxurious feel-good clothes that fits the wardrobe of the current LV woman or as Ghequire would like to call it, the “Vuitamins” that everyone needs to pop in.
TAKE YOUR VUITAMINS
As much as we love the idea of luxury and its grandeur tailored fits, with the current pandemic, we won't be buying any of these pieces for our closets any time soon. Thus, Ghesquire creates a line of wearable luxury pieces that combines tech romanticism and energetic sportswear. Using softer materials and embroidery to contrast its lively color palette, the line brings a cosmopolitan vibe to the casual-chic look.
This is evident as the collection shows extreme layering with oversize logo tees against bright ruffled skirts, Bermuda shorts with embroidered blouses, floral denim jackets , and slides paired with their version of luxury sweatpants.
The all-time favorite pochettes also get a new look with brighter colors and thicker straps. Not losing its loved monogram design, the utility pochette gets a neon pink upgrade while the zip pochettes that turns into a belt bag have clashing colors of red, blue and yellow. But an eye-catcher is the new over-the-shoulder barrel trunk bag complete with the known S-lock.
A line with a positive and upbeat affirmation, Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2021 is an exciting collection that reminds the loyal LV crew to have fun even with the basics.
