Long Live The Queen: This Is What Catriona Gray Has Been Doing After Her Miss Universe Reign

After officially passing on the Miss Universe crown, we take a look at what Catriona Gray has been busy with after her reign.

Catriona Gray’s stint as Miss Universe was definitely an impactful reign, one that still resonates far and wide to this day. Not only did she raise funds for her chosen foundations and shedding light on her advocacies, but she also managed to juggle it with countless of projects—from advertisement campaigns to magazine cover shoots, such as MEGA’s June 2019 Pinoy Pride issue.

Now that she has passed on her crown to South Africa’s Zozibini Tunzi, Catriona Gray is back in Manila for good. But what’s really waiting for her here? Well, aside from celebrating her first year being with ABS-CBN, the former Miss Universe just made her hosting debut on January 6, joining It’s Showtime’s roster of hosts.

As she also celebrated her 26th birthday live, Catriona opened the show by performing the hit song, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. It was then followed by a simple yet humbling birthday greeting by her co-hosts Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, and Karylle.

When asked how she’s celebrating her birthday this year, she mentioned that she’s currently doing a fundraising effort in collaboration with Smile Train Philippines, for all the kids with cleft lips and palates. “I have a fundraiser sa lahat ng social media pages ko, and if everyone could reach out, we could give the children of the Philippines new smiles for 2020,” she optimistically said during the show.

Apart from her one-week hosting stint on the noontime show, Catriona Gray just recently launched her own brand’s website. Proving to be a media darling, she will also be publishing her own book titled, Conquering Your Universe very soon.

And if you thought those are the only things Catriona Gray is busy doing, you better think again. That’s because she will also be unveiling her wax figure by Madame Tussauds here in Manila. Her wax figure will wear a replica of the iconic lava gown designed by Mak Tumang that she wore when she won the 2018 Miss Universe title.

“I am so excited to see the final figure and be a part of this special event! To unveil the figure in my home country with my fans watching is another dream come true,” Catriona captioned on her Instagram post.

In addition, according to Madame Tussauds Singapore’s General Manager Alex Ward, “We are constantly bringing in more fun to cater to various markets and we look forward to welcoming Catriona who will be the first Filipino wax figure in Madame Tussauds Singapore. Besides her figure, Catriona also filmed something special for Madame Tussauds.”

More information will be released on Madame Tussauds Singapore’s social media pages, so be sure to stay tuned for more information. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram @MtsSingapore.
