Porsche Design Manila commemorates 50 years worldwide and sponsors ambassador Brian Poe-Llamanzares for the upcoming race at the Radical Cars SR1 Cup this August 2022
Porsche Design has been in the forefront of car designs through its whopping five decades existence. In its symbolic 50 years, Porsche Design pioneers in every generation, time and zeitgeist. Worldwide, Porsche Design celebrates 50 strong years, and 12 thriving years in the Philippines.
A week-long exhibit at Okada Manila displays reinvented Porsche 911 cars from beloved Filipino Porsche collectors. An event held last July 20, 2022 also highlighted a limited edition Porsche Design watch available at the Okada store. Charles Tiu, Ej Obiena and Brian Poe-Llamanzares are some of Porsche Design Manila’s lifestyle ambassadors.
Also, on this special occasion, Porsche Design Manila announces its sponsorship to Brian Poe-Llamanzares for the August radical Cars SR1 Cup event.
The Radical SR1 Cup is the United Kingdom’s fastest and most exciting club racing championship. Moreover, they make racing prototype style sportscars more accessible now more than ever. The Radical Sportscars Championship initially launched in 2013. It is the first step on the radical ladder- ideal for race car enthusiasts looking to take their circuit driving up a notch.
Meet Brian Poe-Llamanzares as a Racer
The man of the hour, Brian is the chief of staff for Senator Grace Poe and CEO of Time Master watches. Albeit, let us get to know Brian simply as a race car driver. He started partnering with Radical Cars earlier this year.
Brian discovered a huge potential of racing as a sport that can thrive here in the Philippines and so he foresaw that Radical Cars has a big chance to become the strongest player in the professional racing scene in the country.
Brian shared, “Sports in general provide jobs and inspiration. People don’t realize that racing is a team sport. You need to employ a full team of engineers and mechanics. It’s a good ecosystem for employment and can attract businesses to the country, like the F1 series, which takes place all over the world.”
The Radical SR1 Cup Philippines is scheduled to take place at Clark International Speedway on August 26-28, October 21-23, 2022 and at Batangas Racing Circuit on September 23 – 25, 2022 as well.
