Known for their rugged apparel, edgy attitude, and instant-classic silhouettes, Lee has been a wardrobe staple since its establishment in 1889. The legendary denim label is one of the world’s most iconic brands that champion quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. Over the years, Lee has made history with its innovative products, including the world’s first ever zip fly jeans, the iconic hair-on-hide leather label, and the “Lazy S” back pocket stitching.
This year, Lee is celebrating its historic 130th anniversary. And to make the milestone even grander, the denim-maker is collaborating with another notable brand: the upbeat icon, Smiley. More than just an icon, brand, and lifestyle, Smiley prides itself on pushing the philosophy for positivity. The brand has been a reminder of how powerful a smile can be since 1972, and continues to convey the message “Take Time to Smile” to this day. Together, Lee and Smiley have created a special collection to celebrate the former’s anniversary.
The fresh Lee x Smiley Fall/Winter 2019 Collection mixes Lee’s traditional workwear heritage with the bright and buoyant persona of Smiley. Streetwear style meets comfort in the stretchable overalls and sun-yellow oversized sweaters. The sophistication of denim is cut with Smiley logos, giving a punch of youthful energy to the cultivated brand.
Playful prints run across the collection’s rider jackets, trousers, and utilitarian belt bags, adding a kick of attitude to the denim apparel’s casual demeanor. The Smiley logo also shows its comical character by playing hide and seek with the Lee logo, with variations on the logos and messages hidden within the waist and along the zipper of the pants.
Women can keep warm while looking cool in the collection’s long fur-trimmed denim hoodie. This laidback yet elegant clothing goes perfectly with the line’s tapered cut stretchable jeans for an air of class and relaxation.
Show off your street style and display a positive attitude with Lee x Smiley’s Fall/Winter 2019 Collection.
