Becoming one of the most essential platforms during the pandemic, Lazada wins Most Influential E-Commerce Platform at the 2021 MEGA Fashion Awards.

With the ongoing pandemic, many of us have turned to e-commerce platforms for our daily needs—from our groceries to electronics to clothes. One specific platform has risen above others, thanks to a mix of excellent customer service, dependable transactions and a seamless shopping experience. This year’s MEGA Fashion Awards, co-presented by RLC Residences, Most Influential E-Commerce Platform goes to none other than Lazada.

Launched in 2012, Lazada has paved the way for e-commerce and is now the number one platform in Southeast Asia, available in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. According to Statistica, Lazada has monthly users of almost 35 million in 2020, and undoubtedly has only increased since. 

Endorsed by big celebrities like teen queen Kathryn Bernardo, Korean heartthrob Lee Min Ho, and influencer Mimiyuh, among others, Lazada has catapulted and cemented its place at the top. According to their website, Lazada currently have 155,000 sellers, 3000 brands, and 560 million users in Southeast Asia—a feat that is beyond other e-commerce platforms.

With Lazada’s quick deliveries and reliable sellers, it has made it possible for people to stay at home and stay safe amid the unprecedented pandemic. This platform has also become a source of income for Filipino sellers, making ti possible for them to earn from the comfort of their own homes.

Not only has Lazada become essential at these times, but it has paved the way for innovation and progress in terms of e-commerce.
