Returning to Manila for the fourth time, LANY will once again take over the hearts of their Filipino fans in their 3-day concert.
With several times that they’ve been here, you may ask what’s new this time? We all know that their two previous concerts in Manila were sold-out in almost a blink. That’s how it still is even now because the American indie pop’s immense popularity in the country led their supposed two-night show to three dates for their world tour.
Best known for “ILYSB” and “Super Far”, LANY has new hits in their sophomore album. We are thrilled to sing our hearts out! And what I mean by singing our hearts out is literal.
What’s new this time is that LANY’s newest anthems were written and composed from the experience of heartbreak. It is, however, not new that good music is the product of a bad heartbreak. But hearing it from LANY is what’s breathtaking.
The mixture of the trio’s (Paul Jason Klein, Les Priest, and Jake Goss) talents made the album Malibu Nights emanate a musical experience of heartbreak and hope. Klein’s not-so-secret split with another pop artist compelled him to write “Thru These Tears” and “Malibu Nights,” which was named before the album.
“Thick and Thin” was unlike the two melancholy tracks because it sounded familiar to their previous hits. Despite its negative lyrics, its upbeat tune will surely give us the energy to sing-along and dance. Other records, “Taking Me Back,” “If You See Her,” “I Don’t Wanna Love You Anymore,” “Let Me Know,” “Run,” and “Valentine’s Day” are also equally euphoric.
So, get ready to a rollercoaster ride with LANY’s Malibu Tour on July 23 to 25 as we witness ourselves jamming through our tears! The three-piece band is set to perform at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, which was confirmed by concert promoters MMI Live and Live Nation.
