With the vital themes of Maturity, Growth, and Body Positivity, the actress treated fans to a tasteful nude shoot for her 32nd birthday on May 17.
Donning little else beyond a pair of denims, the soft-hued photo shoot taken at Lucas Studios and shot by Josh Ke sees the artist in a different light, but one that perfectly reflects her visions of serenity and growth.
The 3-part Instagram posts sees Kris candidly reflecting on her life so far, and just how important it is to truly love yourself.
“Tbh, before I used to get affected on how people perceive how I look, ‘Pandak, Anorexic, Butiki, Kawayan.’ The list goes on, but now I learned how to bring positivity to myself and other people by embracing my flaws,” she had shared.
“I think with all the experiences that I carried throughout my journey, I learned how to be mature in different aspects,” she added in a separate post.
Through the simple but significant shoot, we get a glimpse of the inner workings of the typically low-key Kris Bernal—and what it means to mature at any age.
“I’ve grown so much in the past years of my life and I continue to grow. This is something I embrace: that I am not a perfect person and I’m a work in progress.”
