Kiehl’s is celebrating its 170th anniversary with some very special releases. From their beginnings at the East Village in New York City, Kiehl’s has grown into one of the most respected global skincare brands. Their personalized approach to skincare, where anyone can simply stop by a counter to get their skin assessed and get free samples, has garnered them loyal fans everywhere, including in the Philippines.
Iconic Formulas
To celebrate over a century of their pioneering success, Kiehl’s is launching a Commemorative Collection comprised of their best-selling products such as the Midnight Recovery Concentrate (P3950), Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (P1835), Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner (P2325), and Ultra Facial Cream (P1850).
These bestsellers all come in limited apothecary-inspired, white and gold-embossed glass packaging and leather “cabinet” that can be mounted to a wall, if you’re really feeling that old school pharmacy vibe.
Blast From The Past
Their Heritage Collection meanwhile, gets old favorites from decades back. Those into essential oils will love their rerelease of this trio: Love-Luring, Fortune Seeking and Jinx-Removing (P1,700 each) oils, which first came out in the 1920s. Meanwhile, since hand-washing is all the rage these days (and rightfully so!), their Heritage Glycerin Soaps (P950 each) from the 1990s will make welcome gifts to anyone, including yourself. They come in unscented—suitable for the face—and a subtle Fresh Herbal scent variants. Gentle and non-drying, these bar soaps are a step up from your drugstore standbys.
Of all the releases, we’re partial to 1960s’ Heritage French Rosewater Toner (PHP 2,250), a delightful skin-soothing solution that uses imported rose water and delicate-smelling Turkish rose petals.
