Months after its digital release, Kiana Valenciano finally dropped the music video for her hit single “Misfits”!
Kiana teamed up with Luigi Tabuena for the direction of the music video. And the one responsible for all the fashion moments we’re all living for in the music video is none other than stylist Pam Quinones. But the award-winning singer added that she made sure she has her own input on the fashion side of the music video.
When asked about the concept, Kiana shares that it’s “a little crazy and a little dark”. She keeps most of the details a secret because she wants to hear what people take away from it after watching the music video. But she did have this to say for all of us eagerly anticipating for the video: “They can expect an unusual narrative, and a character they’ve never seen from me before. We really wanted to have fun with the word “MISFITS”, and so we totally embraced the concept of being a little eccentric and maybe even a little uncomfortable.”
Kiana leaves us with a piece of advice as the music video drops: “pay attention to all the little details”. Director Luigi Tabuena has turned the music video into a short film with a deep and dark storyline.
And yes, Sam Concepcion is in it! Having featured Sam’s voice singing James Reid‘s words in the song, Kiana spills that Sam is appearing on the music video with her.
