For the longest time, sunglasses have been a massive staple in Hollywood. Large specs are often associated with the A-listers who avoid cameras or who keep their faces under wraps from the public. While celebs have decreed “the bigger, the better” when it comes to sunglasses, the ultra-stylish Kanye West begs to differ now and even told his wife, Kim Kardashian, to break the unspoken rule.
We all know West also doubles as Kardashian’s stylist and as per People magazine, he frequently sends out sartorial memos to his wife via email, with the most recent outlawing oversized frames. He had one specific request – large sunglasses are out and tiny specs are taking center stage. “[Kanye] sent me a whole email like, ‘You cannot wear big glasses anymore,'” the reality star explained. Coming along with the memo was a digital moodboard, just like how a professional stylist would do it. “He sent me like, millions of nineties photos with tiny little glasses.”
While the episode was filmed in May, we’ve seen Kardashian join the bandwagon of 90s sunglasses along with the likes of Rihanna, Bella Hadid, and Cara Delevingne. With big sunnies out of the picture, will you be jumping in to the small specs trend?
