If Josefina Bolzico looks familiar to you, it’s probably because you’ve seen her strut it in front of the camera or showcase her sillier side on her uncle Nico’s Instagram account. Having recently moved from Argentina to Manila, the model shares that she is in love with the country and enjoying her time here.
In addition to the 21-year-old’s striking beauty, what caught my attention upon first meeting her during our shoot is the fact that there were two equally beautiful individuals trailing behind her. “This is my mother and sister,” she tells me, adding that the two, who are in Manila for vacation, are here to support her during her shoot. In addition to sharing a special bond with her family, they also seem to share one other thing: great skin. Despite this, Bolzico knows that she shouldn’t take skincare for granted. She shares with us three beauty tips that anyone can learn from:
1. Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse
“When it comes to my skincare, I stay safe with my favorite products. I just use some hydration creams, like LA MER Crème de la Mer,” she says. “I think the most important thing is to keep the skin clean. Before going to sleep, I always make sure to remove my makeup and properly cleanse my face.”
2. Make time for exercise
It isn’t hard to tell that fitness is a big part of Bolzico’s life—her toned physique easily gives it away. In addition to benefits such as shaping her body and mind, she also loves that post-workout glow that exercise gives her face. She shares that to maintain her figure, she tries to train every day, once every morning and if she has extra time, a little in the afternoon. “I like running and spinning for my cardio, and then I move on to weights to strengthen my legs and back,” she says. Her diet, on the other hand, isn’t too strict, with a focus on simply making better choices: “I eat mostly protein and try to avoid eating too much carbohydrates. I also stay away from certain drinks such as juices or sodas.” It certainly seems to be working for her, as she says she doesn’t have to deprive herself of too much.
3. Less is more
While she loves playing with her look from time to time, Bolzico shares that she is leaning towards a certain beauty philosophy now that she is getting older: less is more. She goes on to explain this, saying, “I learned that sometimes, using less makeup will make you look even more guapa. Unless it’s for work, I don’t use false eyelashes or fake hair extensions. I think one should just focus on highlighting their best features.”
