EXCLUSIVE: Jetsetter Tina Leung Shares The Secrets To Flawless Skin

By

It is an understatement to say that Tina Leung is one busy woman. Since emerging on the street style scene with her one-of-a-kind looks, the fashion stylist, blogger and businesswoman juggles a hectic schedule, but always does it with an air of finesse. This month, she makes a stop in Manila with best friend Bryanboy for their regular facial treatments with the Belo Medical Group. Scroll down to read about her new favorite treatment of theirs and to learn more about her beauty secrets:

MEGA: What is your morning/evening skincare routine like?

Tina Leung: My morning and evening pretty much the same, but at night I use an even richer night cream. My all time favorites include Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Enzyme Cleanser and Hyaluronic Serum, SK-II 2 Pitera Essence, Chanel Sublimage Serum and Biologique Masque VIP O2 . I like to change things around. For my SPF, I love Dr. Barbara Strum’s Sun Drops. I just love her line.

M: Since you travel a lot for work, can you give our readers tips on how to take care of your skin when you’re always on the go?

T: I think that moisturizing and using serums are key. Anything with hyaluronic acid will work. On planes, I also like to put on masks or a really thick layer of moisturizing cream, so when I land, I look and feel fresh.

M: Moving on to facial treatments, which ones are your favorites?

T: I recently tried Dr. Belo’s Kinetic Face Lift using Enerjet. They told me that it takes around a month to see the best results, but I already feel a lot tighter. I love that you don’t need needles or a scalpel in order to do this treatment and that it has zero recovery time. I mean, I’m already here shooting with you guys! Another treatment I love from them is the Emsculpt, which is said to be equivalent to doing 20,000 sit-ups.

M: What’s your favorite makeup moment of all time and why?

T: Typically, I love a really dramatic smoky eye. But if I had to pick my favorite moment, it would have to be for this ball. I had multicolored crystals stuck on my cheekbones and around my eyes. It’s something different from what I usually do.

M: Can you tell us a bit about your style and how you make it work w your beauty look?

T: My style changes all the time and it depends on my mood. I can be super girly in a pink Miu Miu dress and then all of a sudden I’ll be in this Margiela by Galliano look next. For me, the makeup compliments the outfit and vice versa. I usually think of my outfit first and then the makeup afterwards. But when I get new makeup that I’m dying to try, then I build my outfit around that.

M: Is there a trend or product that you would never try?

T: Generally, I dislike trends but I understand that people need them sometimes. So I try not to look at them. But since I love playing around with my beauty look, I don’t think there’s anything I wouldn’t try.

M: What or who do you consider beautiful and why?

T: What do I consider beautiful in the whole universe? Pretty skies. I actually have an Instagram account called @prettyskiesmakemecry. I can get emotional looking at beautiful clouds or sunsets.

M: If you want to feel powerful, what beauty item do you put on?

T: Definitely eyeliner. If I have a really strong cat eye, I instantly feel fierce.
