James Reid and Nadine Lustre Will Have A Giga Reunion For A Virtual Concert

By

Following their news-making breakup in the first quarter of 2020, James Reid and Nadine Lustre are set to reunite for a virtual concert.

Given that the coronavirus pandemic is far from over, more and more events are being held online. And since we’ve already been in quarantine for more than half a year now, it seems that people have already acclimated to the new normal when attending virtual events. Following the Emmy Awards and iHeartRadio MusicFest broadcasted online, there’s a new one to be shown in the Philippines: GigaFest Virtual Concert.

It will be headlined by top-billed local artists such as KZ Tandingan, Curtismith, James Reid, and Nadine Lustre. Yes, you read that right—JaDine is finally reuniting. In case you may have already forgotten, fans have been hoping for the two to reconcile in the previous months after already seeing hints on their Instagram posts. In fact, the phrase “Kumusta kayo diyan JADINE” even trended on Twitter Philippines.

So, we really can’t deny our excitement when we say that we will once more be seeing the two share the same stage. After all, James and Nadine have always been about giving back the love they received from their fans over the years.

According to Smart, producing this virtual concert was only fitting because much like JaDine, it’s their simple but massive way of giving back to their subscribers who entrust their digital life to the telecommunications company. “We hope to hold this every year as we go beyond providing fast and reliable mobile services,” Smart SVP and Head for Consumer Wireless Business Jane Jimenez-Basas.

Apart from this major reunion, there are also pre-concert sideshows and activities. There’s a “workout sessions” with Katarina Rodriguez and Vince Velasco; “Relax, You You Got This” with Macoy Dubs and Dr. RJ Naguit; “In Style” with Aaron Black and Kim Cruz; and “Smartees Play” with Angelique Manto, Erika Rabara, John Manalo, Rammy Bitong, and Synjin Reyes.

Lucky subscribers of the telecommunications are also bound to share the spotlight as they have a chance to win premium gadgets and special prizes, which will be drawn throughout the live stream from 6:30 p.m. onwards.

The GigaFest Virtual Concert will be happening tomorrow, September 26, via Smart’s Facebook page.
