Fabric manipulation, deconstruction and reconstruction, and architectural inspirations are just some design concepts associated with Ivarluski Aseron —and that’s exactly what he showed at Bench Fashion Week 2018 (but with his signature unexpected twist, of course).
Unexpected elements were aplenty as button-down shirts were paired with deconstructed tailored pants, coats were injected with woven panels, while electric pleated maxi skirts complemented double-sleeved tops. The devil was definitely in the details as the pieces were accompanied by street-ready accents and quirky accessories; the pièce de résistance being a repurposed chessboard clutch. The collection showed Ivarluski’s penchant for texture play and surprising silhouettes. All the pieces were grounded in a neutral territory of whites, greys, blacks, and khakis and kept a subtle and sleek streetwear energy in its styling.
