H&M’s Latest Designer Collaboration Is With Giambattista Valli

The secret’s finally out!

Following countless collaborations like Balmain, Alexander Wang, and Moschino, H&M’s latest designer collaboration is with Paris-based Haute Couture designer Giambattista Valli.

The news was revealed at the amfAR gala in Cannes where Kendall Jenner, Chiara Ferragni, Ross Lynch, and H.E.R. aka Gabriella Wilson together with H&M’s creative advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson and Giambattista Valli attended the event. All of them instantly shut down the red carpet upon arriving in Giamba’s signature aesthetic: colorful frothy tulle dresses.

Famed for also being the master of beauty and sophistication, all the glamorous tulle pieces they wore were from a unique limited-edition pre-drop collection of Giambattista Valli x H&M.

According to Valli, “I am excited about this collaboration. H&M gives me the opportunity to bring my vision of style and my celebration of beauty to a wider audience. The goal is to share my love for beauty and to be able to be a part of everyone’s happy moments.”

Born and raised in Rome, he launched his namesake line in Paris back in 2005. And his universe now encompasses ready-to-wear, haute couture, and accessories. But more than that, his collaboration with the Swedish retail giant is the first of its kind as it marks his first foray into menswear.

In fact, Ross Lynch shared, “I am super excited to be wearing the first ever Valli menswear pieces in this Giambattista Valli x H&M collaboration. I haven’t seen it all, but what I have seen I love.”

A limited pre-collection of the Giambattista Valli x H&M collaboration will be available in 12 selected H&M stores around the world. But for the Philippines, we can shop for these must-have pieces on hm.com on May 25. The main collection launches worldwide on November 7, 2019.
