As we all say, health is wealth—this has proven to be true, especially now. But when we get some negative news about our health, we often get disheartened. Not Emmeline Aglipay-Villar.

When she got diagnosed with Lupus at 25, she took her time to research and learn all she could about the illness. Wanting her fellow Filipinos to be more equipped to deal with lupus, she decided to create Hope for Lupus Foundation to raise awareness. The foundation is now a non-profit organization that aims to promote the early detection and proper treatment of lupus by raising awareness about the condition.

Partnering with Gavel&Block by Salcedo Auctions, the Hope for Lupus Foundation is set to hold an online benefit auction this Saturday, October 16. Helping support the foundation’s work, the auction will be featuring close to 100 lots, including works by contemporary Filipino artists such as Emmanuel Garibay, Raffy Napay, and Jigger Cruz, among others. Silver pieces from Cartier and Tiffany & Co. will also be featured, as well as fine Baccarat and Lalique crystal, and jewelry by Riqueza and Janina Dizon.

You can attend the online auction via the Salcedo Auctions website.
