Real queens fix each other’s crowns!

With the highly-anticipated Miss Universe pageant inching closer and closer, we’re rounding up the unforgettable Filipina beauty queens who’ve shown love and support to our 2021 representative, Rabiya Mateo.

Though the whole country is behind her, there’s just something extra sweet about a fellow queen sending the love!

Miriam Quiambao

In a recent Instagram story, the beauty queen turned motivational speaker shared that she was praying for Rabiya’s Miss Universe run.

Representing the country isn’t the only thing these two have in common, as they both graduated cum laude and are registered physical therapists.

Shamcey Supsup-Lee

In an adorable low-key homage to Mother’s Day, Shamcey shared a stunning lookalike photoshoot with Rabiya.

“You continually surprise us with your tenacity and drive to be better everyday. All your hard work and sacrifices have led you to the Miss Universe Competition and I am confident that you will continue to make us proud,” Shamcey captioned. “Just remember that you are already a winner no matter what.”

Aside from being an architect, Shamcey also now helms the Miss Universe Philippines Organization as the national director.

Gazini Gazados

The 2019 Miss Universe gave sage advice to Rabiya when the latter was crowned as Miss Universe Philippines.

“I told her lang naman na just be yourself and enjoy every bit of the journey. Kasi that’s all that matters naman. This is once in a lifetime opportunity,” Ganados shared in a guesting with local radio program TeleRadyo.

Gloria Diaz

Onto the Miss Universe scene, the first-ever titleholder queen Gloria Diaz shared in an interview with CNN Philippines that Rabiya already has the crown in the bag.

“She’s beautiful. She doesn’t have to do much. She just has to have presence of mind. And she has to enjoy every second of what’s happening.”

“And she must remember, in the pageant, whether you win or lose, it’s just the beginning,” Diaz added.

Pia Wurtzbach

Like the older sisters they are, Rabiya once shared that Pia also gave her necessary advice as the competition draws near.

“[Pia] told me, ‘because the competition’s near, don’t stalk your co-candidates. Stay on your lane, run like a horse with blinders.'”

Catriona Gray

Perhaps one of the most sought-after support for Rabiya is from Catriona Gray, who nabbed the Miss Universe crown most recently in 2018.

After critics called her out for not publicly expressing support for Rabiya, Queen Cat calmly explained via Instagram comments that “I’m a Filipina AND a Miss Universe. It’s a celebration of women from all over the world.”

Shutting down the naysayers for good, she added that “Not everything is on display on social media.”

Spoken like a true queen.
