ICYMI, Lovi Poe is officially a Kapamilya! And she already has her first show slated opposite “Ultimate Heartthrob” Piolo Pascual.

Their newest project serves as Lovi’s comeback to the network after 15 years with GMA-7, for which she had nothing but kind words to say after pursuing a new path.

What’s the series about?

The new project will be a local adaptation of the Korean series Flower Of Evil starring Baek Hee-sung and Cha ji-won.

The series is far from a simple sweet story though, as it’s been described as a romance thriller crime drama following a young detective, his wife, and a secret identity that will unravel their seemingly happy life.

It first aired on the South Korean TV channel TvN network in July 2020 and has been receiving acclaim for its action-packed tale. The series has also been gaining international viewers amid being available on numerous streaming sites.

It will air its last episode on September 23, 2021—just in time for ABS-CBN’s Dreamscape Entertainment to start production on its own rendition.

“It hasn’t sunk in yet. It all felt like a dream. When Piolo walked in and brought me flowers, it was like I’m in an actual dream with him. I’m happy to have been entrusted this project with Piolo,” Lovi said of the forthcoming project.

Aside from Lovi’s ABS-CBN debut, it will also be Piolo’s first time to star in a teleserye since 2018’s Since I Found You opposite Arci Muñoz.

Without going into spoilers, Flower Of Evil will definitely bring out the acting chops of Lovi and Piolo. With its strong plotline and impeccable performance brought by the original K-Drama actors, the newly-slated pair will have to bring on their A-game.
