Five Vanguards of Style Celebrate Versace Philippines’ First Anniversary

Versace Philippines passionately honors their first year with grandeur and opulence

Celebrating milestones such as anniversaries or birthdays normally turn into a “go big or go home” situation. For Versace Philippines, there’s nothing stopping them from commemorating their first year in the grandest way possible. With the help of personalities like Nadine Lustre, Alexander Diaz-McDermott, Sarah Lahbati-Gutierrez, Raymond Gutierrez, and Kylie Verzosa, the Italian luxury brand celebrates its first anniversary in Manila by going above and beyond to show there is a lot more in store to capture and celebrate the essence of a Versace man and woman, starting with its latest collection.

The Lady of the House, Donatella Versace, envisions the Pre-Fall and Fall 2020 collections as a “Versace universe.” This universe is inhabited by a group of citizens who are diverse in nature yet united by common threads of independence, strength, and courage. Through the collections, Donatella Versace also presents a wardrobe of uniforms representing her brand’s vigorous and unfazed diversity. As such, five boldfaced household names are clad in their chosen uniforms, perfectly capturing Versace’s true essence while incorporating their own personal touches.

From biker chick to Greek God

Multi-awarded actress Nadine Lustre strikes a pose in an all-black ensemble with hints of gold. Nadine pairs her top from the Main Runway FW20 collection with a moto-inspired miniskirt and strappy heels to set off an elevated biker chick look, all captured by Ed Enclona. Meanwhile, Alexander Diaz-McDermott is the epitome of a modern Greek God in front of the lens of Trish Shishikura as he stands in an iconic Versace motif in the Optical Virtus print shirt that he matches with dark skinny jeans, a black chain necklace, a leather crossbody sling bag, and a pair of classic loafers.

Sexy and sweet in its truest form

Photographed by Andrea Beldua, Sarah Lahbati-Gutierrez is a vision in the “little black dress of 2020”. Styled in a black slim-fit leather mini dress cinched at the waist, the actress and mother of two completes the look with black leather booties and a mini mobile phone sling bag. This sleek and classic black leather outfit brings a relaxed yet intense attitude to the blonde bombshell, completely contrasting her second get-up that shows a sweeter version of herself. Sarah combines a blue and red rose-print knit cardigan with feminine shorts, as well as a bold red tote embellished with the Barocco ‘V’ from the House’s Virtus handbag line.

The emphasized elegance of black, white, and gold

Brother-in-law to Sarah, Raymond “Mond” Gutierrez, also photographed by Beldua, heats up Solaire Resort & Casino’s pool in more ways than one. Just like Nadine, the all-around celebrity dons a racy black ensemble with a fitted shirt that has a gold Via Gesu nameplate–as found on the facade of the Versace Milan main showroom–paired with Versace logo waistband trousers, which was just recently introduced this season. Mond ties the look together with dark sunglasses with gold accents on the arms, and the new two-toned Medusa necklace, worn Mafioso-style. This fiery look is modified with a breezy black, white, and gold heritage-inspired Barocco shirt left unbuttoned, yet pulled together by the same Medusa chain and sunglasses. The shirt features a rejuvenated motif of gold-tone acanthus leaves and spotted leopards, thus bringing a fresher perspective to the iconic Barocco print.

The epitome of a crowning glory

Last but certainly not the least, Kylie Verzosa is breathtaking in a black dress held together by gold Medusa buttons, leaving barely anything to the imagination. Photographed by Beldua, Kylie completes the iconic Versace piece with spindly black stilettos and an elegant black Virtus saddle bag. For her second look, the former Miss International continues to prove she knows how to work the camera as she wears a silk striped blouse with a Barocco print and light blue chest panel. Adding an extra touch of sexiness to it all, her overall look is paired with timeless gold earrings and leather black booties.
