Five Luxury Skiwear Collections Fit For Winter Sports

By

Luxury sportswear reaches new heights with these five skiwear collections from Louis Vuitton, Prada, Fendi, Dior, and BALMAIN

Outdoor enthusiasts have more to look forward to this winter season as several brands release their Fall Winter 2022 skiwear collections. This list features five winter sportswear collections composed of technical gear and other essentials for the cold weather. The best thing about them? None of these collections sacrifice high performance for comfort and style.

LV Ski Collection

The second LV Ski Collection is the latest to feature a seasonal line of sportswear entirely devoted to winter sports. Following its maiden skiwear launch in 2021, Louis Vuitton returns to present this year’s line of staple skiwear composed of technical compression gear, après-ski garments, and ski accessories. LV puts a twist on seasonal essentials through a mix of quilted and fleece Monogram, luxe puffy jackets, and sporty knits that are discreetly signed with LV snowflake stitching. Notably, the LV Ski Collection also features a triple-layer snow mask that comes in white, yellow, fuchsia, navy, and silver. This snow mask has interchangeable anti-fog, anti-scratch, and hydrophobic lenses that make navigation easier no matter the light conditions.

Prada Linea Rossa Fall/Winter 2022 Collection

Prada’s Linea Rossa FW22 collection is similarly inspired by winter sports as it boasts minimalist-styled high-performance sportswear for men and women. For this collection, you can expect a wide range of skiwear and technical gear that is distinctly suited for the season’s harsh elements and temperatures. Something to keep your eyes on are the Extreme Tex ski pants,  which are from the innovative multilayer waterproof fabric created by Prada. Extreme-Tex combines cutting-edge textile technologies with eco-sustainable production methods, while its Graphene® padding helps to regulate and stabilize body temperature both in hot weather and in cold weather. This collection also features ready-to-wear everyday essentials like coats and jumpsuits, alongside shoes, accessories, and sunglasses.

Fendi Fall/Winter 2022-23 Skiwear Capsule

Fendi hits the mark again with its seasonal capsule collection. It features innovative skiwear along with ski accessories to match, such as helmets, gloves, and goggles. But what is sure to catch your eye is Fendi’s reversible ski jacket, made of tech fabric, with a removable hood, sizable pockets, and a matching palladium-finish belt. One side of the jacket is navy blue, while the other is in brown and tobacco FF fabric.

DiorAlps and Men’s Ski Capsule

Dior offers two distinct yet daring collections for this winter season. One is the exclusive DiorAlps capsule for women by Maria Grazia Chiuri, which has bold looks such as one-piece ski suits, down jackets, and matching pants that are made from special water-repellent fabric.

Meanwhile, the men’s Ski Capsule by Kim Jones offers a selection of skiwear that allows adventurers to make playgrounds out of mountains. From ski racing helmets and neck warmers to headbands and mittens, Dior’s skiwear promises luxury designs fit for winter sports.

This is partly due to its collaboration with the Swiss brand AK SKI. Together, they combine AK SKI’s technical expertise with Dior’s couture spirit. The bold and ultra-graphic-styled snowboard is available in two versions: timeless ecru on one and pink and yellow tones on the other.

BALMAIN Winter 2022 SKI Capsule

Not to be outdone, BALMAIN also came out with a ski capsule that promises style and technical excellence. To accomplish this, the luxury house partnered with outdoor and sporting goods company Rossignol to produce monogram ski suits, wooden skis, ski coats, and ski helmets. BALMAIN’s capsule also contains sweaters and leggings in bold colors to make you stand out this winter season.

These collections are available in-store and online.
