A glitzy event that brought your favorite Kapuso stars back to the days of Old Hollywood. Clothed in black and white ensembles that were reminiscent of the fashion in the 1910s until the 1960s, it was nothing short of glamour and romance. Like Ann Sothern’s glimmering slip on dress or Audrey Hepburn’s classic A-Line gowns, they’ve taken the iconic fashion to another level. And as we look back at the GMA gala, we rounded up fashion trends that were prevalent all throughout the night.

Black and white chic

While some opted for either black or white, there are some who got the best of both worlds. Kapuso stars like Maja Salvador, Carmina Villaroel, and Maricel Laxa showed up at the ball looking chic in their black and white look for the night.

All about the volume

Like Elizabeth Taylor’s dress in her movie “A Place In The Sun”, the golden age of film loved their extravaganza and voluminousness. Personalities like Max Collins, Bianca Umali, and Cassy Legaspi brings the volume up in tiered pleated tulle and billowy skirts.

Dazzled in embellishments

When it comes to embellishments, one can simply recall Marilyn Monroe’s array of gleaming dresses. From her iconic sheer, diamond embellished Happy Birthday dress to her vibrant orange dress in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, it’s no surprise that some Kapuso stars made their own rendition of sparkling dresses.

Striking in white

A charming color yet it exudes such grace and sophistication. Whether it’s a form hugging silhouette or a billowy gown, white can undoubtedly catch one’s attention. Celebrities clad in the striking color are Zephanie, Ysabel Ortega, and Haley Dizon.

Elevated black

The sultry and alluring color can be difficult to style sometimes but when done right, you can  expect a captivating look perfect for the night. Solenn Heussaff, Kylie Padilla, and Coleen Garcia walk the carpet with their all black ensemble.
